Eliot Fisk Guitar Series Vol. 1

Steve Lin is an acclaimed classical guitarist who has performed extensively across the United States, Italy, the Philippines, and Taiwan. Praised by Classical Guitar Magazine as “a confident player with a powerful sound” and by virtuoso Eliot Fisk for his “innate and uncommon elegance,” Steve has won top prizes at the Boston GuitarFest Competition and the East Carolina University Guitar Competition. He has appeared at prestigious events such as the Mérida Yucatán Guitar Festival, Yale Guitar Extravaganza, and ChitarraImperia Festival. A recording artist with VGo Recordings, Steve has released two albums: Eliot Fisk Series Vol. 1, described as “innovative and exciting” by Minor 7th Acoustic Guitar Music Reviews, and Imagen, a showcase of Latin American compositions by Agustín Barrios and Antonio Lauro, hailed as “brilliant” and “virtuosic” by Classical Guitar Magazine.

In addition to his performing career, Steve is deeply committed to community and educational outreach. As the founder of the Boston Guitar Project, he organized over 20 performances annually, benefiting disaster relief efforts, nursing homes, and local non-profits. Now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he continues his outreach through the South Bay Guitar Society and other initiatives. Steve has premiered works by prominent composers such as Lei Liang, whose Journey into Desire he debuted with support from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. He is also a passionate educator, serving as the guitar professor at San Jose State University, while completing his doctorate under Eliot Fisk at the New England Conservatory. With a master’s degree from Yale and a bachelor’s from NEC, Steve continues to inspire audiences and students with his artistry and dedication to the classical guitar.
