Cecilio Perera is an internationally acclaimed guitarist celebrated for his exceptional musicality, expressiveness, and versatility. His repertoire spans genres from medieval and renaissance to contemporary and Latin American folklore. Cecilio has performed in iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Festspielhaus in Salzburg, and Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto. His collaborations with world-class orchestras, including the Salzburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, highlight his ability to connect diverse audiences with his artistry.

As an educator and recording artist, Cecilio teaches at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg and the School of Music in Freilassing, Germany. His recordings, including Guitar Music of Mexico and XX Century Music, blend tradition with innovation. He has premiered works by esteemed composers like Leo Brouwer and Clarice Assad, while sharing stages with renowned musicians across genres. Cecilio’s achievements include the Golden Guitar award in Italy and Mexico’s National Award of Youth in Arts, reflecting his dedication to the art of the guitar.
